EPA Releases Draft Scope Documents for 7 Chemical Substances Deemed High-Priority Under TSCA
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released additional draft scope documents for seven chemicals. These represent the remainder of the 20 chemicals classified in December 2019 under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) as high-priority for risk evaluation. In this blog post, we take a look at these chemical substances.
The Chemicals
The seven high-priority chemicals for which the EPA recently released draft scope documents are shown in the table below.

The EPA's completion of its release of draft scope documents for the first 20 chemicals deemed as high priority risk evaluation candidates (under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)), represents a significant accomplishment for the Agency. By June 20, 2020 (six months following the chemicals’ designation for risk evaluation), the EPA is committed to releasing corresponding final scope documents. Additional information on these documents may be found on the EPA website as it becomes available.
