A Timetable of Key EPA Developments and Deadlines for 2019
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will mark a number of significant developments and encounter several important deadlines in 2019, many in relation to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Here is a timetable of some of the dates you should be aware of for this year:

- Deadline for comments to be received on the EPA’s Pigment Violet 29 (PV29) draft risk evaluation (TSCA Section 6(b)(2)(A)).

- Deadline for manufacturers to submit polymer exemption reports to the EPA for 2018 (CFR Section 723.250).

- Notice of Violation of TSCA was published by the EPA for GenX and other associated per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

- PFAS Action Plan was published by the EPA.

- EPA published the updated TSCA Chemical Substance Inventory, designating chemicals as either “active” or “inactive” in U.S. commerce (TSCA Section 8(b)(4)(A)).
